I was born and raised in Oakland California. Attended and graduated from Oakland public schools and Laney College. My wife Barbara and I moved to San Leandro and have lived in the District for 46 years. Our 3 children attended and graduated from San Lorenzo Schools; Argonne Elementary, Washington Manor Jr High, Marina High and Arroyo High Schools.

A former owner/partner of the Alameda City Disposal Company for 27 years.

I have been active in the community by volunteering on several committees as wells as serving on the San Lorenzo School Districts Personnel Commission, a past president of the Washington Manor Home Owners Assoc., member of the Moose, Buon Tempo Club, Fratellanza Club, Colombo Club, SIRS Branch 26, The Martin C. Kauffman ONE HUNDRED CLUB of Alameda County, San Leandro Breakfast Club, and the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce. I received from the P.T.A. an award for "Outstanding Service to Children and Youth".
