- Plan to Improve Education
-
All students need to be adequately challenged to keep them engaged in school and preparing for their and our future. Students at all ability levels can disengage from education if not challenged. For what ever reason a student disengages, they will fall behind. Once they fall behind our school district is not set up to identify them in a timely manner.
- Identify at Risk Students
-
The students advance based on their performance on standardized tests given once a year. The students who do not perform well will have additional training without taking them out of the main stream process immediately. Students will advance in curriculum modules and not by age. If they do well in English and not Math, they will be tutored in math to catch up and or if necessary kept in the same math module again. If the child is not challenged, they will be placed in a higher level module.
- Attract more Teachers
-
Fremont is not able to attract enough qualified and properly motivated teachers for some of the required disciplines.
