Candidate for
Director; East Bay Regional Park District; Ward 5

I am a pharmacist and businessman. As a pharmacist, I have been involved in health care for over 30 years. As a businessman I have I have run multiple retail pharmacies and gift shops. In the interest of having more time for my family and to pursue my passion of the outdoors, I have recently sold my stores and although now semi-retired, I still practice pharmacy and serve as President of Pirrone Incorporated.

I am also an avid hiker and a sometimes mountaineer. I have climbed some the world's highest mountains. I enjoy wilderness hiking and backpacking. Most importantly, I hike extensively in our regional parks and it is for this reason that I am running for the Directorship of Ward 5. I know every park in this district. Almost daily, typically at sunrise, I can usually be found on some park trail, enjoying a morning of exploration. Because of this "hands on" experience and an over 30 year history of running multiple successful businesses, I have the knowledge, background and desire to represent district 5.
