  • I am currently President of the School Board
  • My son is a fourth generation Alamedan
  • My education includes graduate degress in Public Health (MPH) and Business (MBA)
  • I have more than 15 years of experience in local, state and federal government
  • My work experience includes positions with the Maryland Legislature, Vice President Al Gore, and the Federal Medicare program.
  • As School Board President I led the adoption of a Wellness Policy to improve student nutrition and expand physical activity options.
Top Priorities if Elected
  • Alameda school facilities must be safe, they must be clean and they must have appropriate technology and resources
  • With the support of dedicated teachers and involved parents Alameda public schools outperform private schools! Public schools are a good deal!
  • The Alameda Unified School District must be accountable and transparent when making decisions that impact the community.
