Accademic Proficiency. My commitment to student success is foremost. Basic skills, bridging the achievement gap, vocational training and college preparation must be our priority. I support academic programs the recognize diverse learning styles among today's students. Fiscal Accountability. Balancing competing needs with available resources, while ensuring quality programs and services, is always a challenge. This requires constant re-evaluation of priorities, strategic planning, efficient enrollment management, and fiscal discipline. Safe Schools. It is our responsibility to provide our students a safe and nurturing learning environment. Through strong parental involvement and collaboration among all stakeholders that include students, faculty, staff, school administrators, city officials, business and civic leaders, this can be accomplished.
