Traffic Congestion Steve Brozosky is an outspoken advocate solving our traffic congestion. With his leadership on the Tri-Valley Transportation Council, the Livermore-Amador Valley Transit Authority and the Alameda County Transportation Authority, Steve has been a leader in fighting to keep transportation dollars where they belong...on our local streets and highways. Steve has been at the forefront of improving our local public transportation infrastructure. Steve is a strong supporter of extending the current BART line to Livermore, and as Chair of the Livermore-Amador Valley Transit Authority (Wheels Bus) has helped make the wheels public transit system more efficient and rider friendly. Steve has also fostered relationship with regional leaders. A recent trip to Washington D.C. with leaders from other cities, the county, and business interests brought back $18 million for regional traffic solutions. As someone who has raised a family in Pleasanton, Steve Brozosky appreciates the unique quality of life we enjoy here in Pleasanton. As a City Councilman, Steve has been a leader in revitalizing our downtown district and finding the financing necessary to start the Downtown Firehouse Arts Center. Steve has fought hard to give our kids and families the parks and playing fields that Pleasanton requires. His work resulted in the creation of Sports fields currently under construction at Donlon Elementary School and the creation of a new BMX bike course in conjunction with East Bay Parks. As your Mayor, Steve will be committed to continuing the work he has started on the City Council, and make sure Pleasanton keeps its "hometown" in the midst of an ever growing East Bay Metropolis. |
