As a parent, Tri-City resident for nearly 30 years, and Community College alum, I have a unique understanding of the vital role Ohlone College plays in our community and I am looking forward to the opportunity to put my life experience and commitment to education, as demonstrated by the over 20 years of volunteer work directly with children in the school system, to work as a member of the Board of Trustees.

My education at the community college system was critical to my eventual graduation from St. Mary's College, and to my 30-year professional career in the telecommunications and hi-tech industries with SBC and Hewlett-Packard. I know that many of today's and tomorrow's students will take a similar path in their educational and career development.

My personal insights will aid the Board of Trustees to successfully address the changing needs of Ohlone's students.

In addition, as a member of our diverse community, I believe I can be an excellent bridge between the community and the college.

I am running for the Ohlone CC Board in order to continue with my over 20 years of volunteer efforts to improve the educational opportunities of our sudents and to address the needs the of the college, faculty and the Tri-City community.

My business knowledge in the private sector, my education and my personal experience as a community college student, returning adult learner, and parent of two college graduates and a high school student, provide the qualifications required to become an active, contributing, and well-rounded Ohlone CC Board Member. With your vote this November 7th, we can make it happen!
