"Securing Our Water Future"

All water needs of our community will be met. Enhancement of our public health, safety and pristine water supply. ;able to fulfill the demand water projections for our future generations.

Water is a very strategic resource in the globe and the United States is first in consumption. So it is very important that we proactively work to "Secure Our Water Future."

I will work for:

{a} collobration and coalition buiding:

Seek and lobby for more local control of
our water resources.
creation of a water taskforce with the express purpose,
to lobby forand form an advisory position with SFPUC
and other water agencies.

{b} Set systems in place to ensure we can always meet

our demand water projections for future generations
and to be a water transfer resource to other regions
if they have a shortage.

{c} Water education and outreach: Advocate for The Tri-City

to sponser and host regional, national and global water
conferences. Position ACWD on the forefront of
Water issues and policies local and global.

In the heart of Fremont is the Mission San Jose/Warm Springs {Irvington Portal} a component of the San Francisco water Dept. Hetch-Hetchy aqueduct. a 170 mile long water system that is one of the most elaborate water supply systems ever built in the U.S. We are also significant as protectors of the east bay because two sites of the bay division piplines # 3 & 4 crossover/isolation values are located in Fremont. These values isolate pipline ruptures and shut off the flow of water in the event of earth movement.

the water needs of underserved communties.

Economic& Environmental Justice:Water is a basic human right.I will ensure everyone has access to the water they need.That businesses remain viable and sustainable even during times of disaster. our natural habitat remain balanced and we enjoy an aesthetic community environment.

With your support I will work hard to ensure that our water resources provide us with a healthy, safe and high quality of life. I will work to build on ACWD achievments and to implement innovative,progressive ways to be leaders on the forefront of the water world in the 21st century, thereby "Securing Our Water Future."
