Education:

BA from the University of California at Santa Cruz; LLB from Hastings School of Law. Presently a card-carrying member of the California Bar.

Occupational Background:

Attorney, specializing in non-profit and business law; business administrator; editor and writer; restaurant worker, shedworker and farmworker.

Summary of Work Experience:

In the past I have been the editor and publisher of a small weekly newsletter on El Salvador and the administrator and director of a non-profit corporation in Washington, D.C. I have also served as the CEO and CFO of an electric vehicle dealership here in Marin. My first job was working as a field hand in the Salinas Valley, where I was born.

Political Background:

My involvement in the Green Party began in 1993, when I returned to the Bay Area from Washington, D.C. I served as the Treasurer of the Green Party of California from 2000 thru 2005. I have been involved in the Alameda and Marin County chapters of the Green Party, and was a supporter, volunteer and/or contributor to the Dan Hamburg/Sara Amir Campaign in 1998, the Media Benjamin and Ralph Nader campaigns in 2000, the Peter Camejo campaign for Governor in 2002 and 2003, and the Nader/Camejo campaign in 2004.

Before I joined the Green Party I was an activist in the Central American solidarity movement for thirteen years, first as a member of CISPES (Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador) and then as the editor of the newsweekly, El Salvador On Line, which was published in Washington, D.C. by the Center for Central American Studies.

In the sixties and seventies I was an activist in the anti-Vietnam War movement, the movement against apartheid and Portuguese colonialism in Africa.

Board Membership:

I am a member of the board of directors of Progressive Asset Management, a brokerage firm specializing in socially responsible investing presently headquartered in Concord, CA. (Contra Costa County). I am also a member of the board of directors of Voice of the Environment, a public charity based in Marin County.

I'm 55 years of age, and married to Carolina Rosales-Wyman. We live in Marin County. We have two wonderful daughters, Ariana and Andrea.
