Mobilization to Survive Breast Cancer
Since Betty Halliwell's diagnosis with a very aggressive form of bilateral breast cancer (detected in time to be treated effectively by mammograms at age 47 and 48), Mike Halliwell has been a pioneer in improving breast cancer therapy. (See http://www.csulb.edu/~halliwel/). This is discussed in excerpts from Halliwell's October 28, 2004 speech at the Petaluma campus of Santa Rosa Junior College.
Preserving the Value of American Citizenship for Future Generations
We must preserve the concept of "a decent day's pay for a good day's work" by keeping employers who adhere to this principle from being run out of business by unscrupulous competitors who hire illegal immigrants and pay so little that they are causing a "race to the bottom" for America's working class.

As a strict constructionist who can find no reference to abortion in the Constitution, I will not try to read my own views on this subject into that revered document, because of the license to do likewise this would provide, to the activist judges who bring an agenda to the bench, to write their personal opinions into law on a broad range of topics.
