ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

By Vibert F. (--) Greene, --

Candidate for Governor; Democratic Party

This information is provided by the candidate
1) Enact new laws and enforce existing ones, 2) cap the number of trees remove from old growth forest and 3) too many cars on our freeways--it's time to act.
There will be no additional oil rigs off our shoreline and I will work with various environmental groups to create new environmental laws to protect our environment; not only for our time but for generations to come. Logging companies will be prohibited from clear-cutting.

There are just too many cars and trucks on our freeways and worse of all, far too many have terrible gas milage. It's time to take drastic measures to help reduce green house gases and our dependence on foreign oil; therefore, I will implement a 4-day work week for state employees--staggered over the 5-business days and I will encourage and promote telecommuting in both the private and public sectors.
