As a Combat Vetaran I urge Congress and the President to END THE IRAQ WAR NOW!I am a combat veteran who served in the U.S. Army in Korea. I also faced the Russian Army patrolling the East German Border! With the former Soviet Union, our country faced a REAL enemy . . . bent on destroying our way of life. Who are we fighting in Iraq today (2006)? Saddam Hussein was deposed three years ago and has been IN JAIL for 2 1/2 years! His sons - who helped run his dictatorship - are DEAD! Iraq has elected a new parliament and selected a new President. So why are we still there? The stated purpose of the Iraq War (to end Saddam's dictatorship and eliminate any threat that Saddam had "weapons of mass destruction") has been achieved.
