Candidate for
Attorney General; Democratic Party

As Attorney General, it is my goal to continue fighting for working families across the state. My top priorities are:

· Public Safety: I will continue the efforts that I have taken as City Attorney and work with other law enforcement to keep our neighborhoods safe from gangs and people who attack our weakest in society through promotion of crime reduction initiatives. I'm proud groups like the CA Highway Patrol are supporting my campaign.

· Education: Most importantly we need to keep our kids safe while they're in school. I will work for increased opportunities though educational reforms, better access to higher education, stronger community colleges, high school and post high school job training. As City Attorney I've worked hard with our schools to implement anti-truancy programs that make parents take responsibility for their children. I'm proud that the California Teachers Association is supporting my campaign.

· Economic Advocacy: Just as I've done as City Attorney, I will fight big polluters. I will work to make healthcare more accessible and affordable; level the playing field from corporations running amok; push for good paying jobs, increased worker benefits, higher minimum wage, and creation of new jobs.
