I fought Enron and I will fight for you. As a Supervising Deputy Attorney General I helped to find the evidence that proved Enron's manipulation of California's energy market. I have taken on some of the biggest special interests, like the out-of-state energy generators who gouged California consumers, and won. I will take that experience and use it to help address California's problems.

Education is my top priority. In my own life and as president of a local school board, I have seen first hand the life changing effect of education. I have specific proposals to put a high quality teacher in every classroom, restore local control over schools, and for full funding of education. I'll fight to ensure that our college system remains accessible to all students. My commitment to education has earned my campaign the support of teachers, administrators and 32 current or former school board members.

I share the values of our community. I will work to encourage the use of renewable energy, protect our environment, put a moratorium on new casino gambling, address our budget issues, create an efficient transportation system and tackle the growing healthcare crisis.

My campaign is different--it is focused on developing new ideas for taking on our toughest problems. I am running a truly grassroots campaign because it will give me the independence to work in your interests, not on behalf of the special interests.

I would be honored to have your support.
