Official Ballot Statement For June 6th, 2006 PrimaryName: Susan Irene Etezadi Occupation: Deputy District Attorney Age: 47 Education and Qualifications: I have been a resident of San Mateo County and a prosecutor in this county for more than 21 years. I have been an attorney since 1984. I have spent my entire professional career in a courtroom and I am committed to ensuring that our community is a safe place for its citizens. As a career prosecutor, I have prosecuted sexual assault crimes, homicides, insurance fraud crimes, domestic violence crimes, environmental crimes, general felony and misdemeanor crimes. I have prosecuted more homicides than any woman prosecutor in San Mateo County. I have tremendous respect for the law enforcement community and remain committed to public safety and equal justice. I teach prosecutors nationally and criminal law courses at the College of San Mateo. I've taught prosecutors state wide, as well as police officers, dispatchers and mental health workers. I am active in community organizations such as Legal Aid of San Mateo County and San Mateo County Women Lawyers that strive to provide equal justice for all citizens. A judge should be hard working, polite, fair and respectful. Individuals who appear in a courtroom are entitled to be heard and treated with respect and dignity. I ask that you elect me to the San Mateo County Superior Court. |
