Infrasture needs must coincide with development, not the cart-before-the-horse analogy.
The Central Coast is a great place to live and raise families, in recent years we have lost sight of these important issues. The negative impacts that have been created and will influence the future of our county must be reformed. I will bring these vital issues back to the forefront. The communities within the 4th District have different needs that must be individually addressed such as retaining their rural and equestrian atmosphere, without sidewalks or street lights, another community desperately needs sidewalks and water runoff control, while others are worried about the loss of rural and farm lands to sprawl.

The South County has critical needs for protecting our water resouces and the aquifer to prevent seawater intrusion; life-threatening flooding issues; traffic and roads that should have been addressed when the developments were built, the critical impacts of clogged intersections upon fire, paramedics and police emergencies. The extreme disparity in regards to parks where the dense and multi-housing units have been built without regard to quality of life. The children play in the streets and commercial parking lots. We must address many other issues of great importance: availability of health clinics; senior issues; rehabilitation programs for drug and alcohol abuse; homelessness; programs for our youth; last, but not least, Affordable Housing designed the way "you were afforded."

I have govermnmental experience, I know how to read an agenda, make policy, ordinances and resolutions. As your Supervisor I will not have a learning curve.

Our current leaders have lost sight of those without a voice. I will be the voice for those that are not heard.
