There are hundreds of issues that cross a Supervisors desk every year. All of which are very important. Everyone has a platform and I am no different. From Growth, Public Safety, Water, Infrastructure, to our Schools and Social Programs that effect the family unit. I have talked with many people in District 4 to find out if what I was seeing in the area and our philosophies are alike. Everyone talked about the same issues. The same issues I have that are not being addressed. This is what prompted me to run for office.

My campaign slogan is "Protecting Our Way Of Life". Our county is known for its natural beauty and small town atmosphere. This effects everyone in the county.

Number one on my platform is to stop the uncontrolled growth we have been seeing the last 8 years. We don't get a second chance to get this right. Once the housing developments have cut the trees and rolling green hills down and you now have a beautiful view of roof tops there is no going back. This will be a permanent. We will become another Los Angeles with the bumper to bumper traffic, smog, and pollution. We need to pull together and look at the big picture that effects everyone and keep the special interest developers from raping our land and moving on.

Number two on my platform is to improve our infrastucture. We do not have the roads to flow the cars in our county properly. Developers are charged impact fees for this but in the 8 years of fast growth we have experienced we have not put the roads in or taken care of our bottle necks. This problem needs bold action now. With more projects in the pipe that will be built out in a short period of time the problem will be worse before it becomes better. We need to take action now!

Number three is to ensure we have enough water for our present and future needs. We are in a water shortage that will only get worse until we obtain the supplemental water we need.

The problems we have at this time are related to poor planning. We need to look at the framework of our county and plan within that framework. Proper strategic planning will eventually turn our problem into solutions. In the long run it will save us millions of dollars.

I do have one core philosophy that is the basis for every decision I will make. Our political system was founded on electing a person to be the voice of the people. That person is elected by the majority vote and put into office to be the voice of the majority. I will keep and improve the lines of communication with my constituents in order to be an effective voice for the people I serve.

I am asking for your vote on June 6th so together we can protect our way of life. Thank You
