Dear Neighbor,

I am running for District Attorney to bring greater safety and equal justice to all the people of Santa Clara County. And I believe one of the best ways to keep our families safe is to take politics out of prosecutions and out of the DA's office.

That means having one set of rules for everyone in the system -- and making sure we make the very best decisions without regard to political pressure or publicity. It means assembling a team of qualified, experienced law enforcement professionals and giving them every tool and technology available to help them do their jobs.

And it means having a District Attorney who will work every single day to keep the families of Santa Clara County safe.

I've tried the toughest cases. I've fought for tough new laws in Sacramento to help end the revolving door in our county jails and prisons, and help parents and other citizens better protect themselves and their children from sex offenders by putting Megan's law online. I've worked as a community prosecutor taking on quality of life crimes like public drunkenness and vandalism that create a hostile environment in our communities.

I've fought to push the District Attorney's office forward with innovative prosecutions to protect our children, our communities, and our environment. And I've managed two organizations -- the California Prosecutors Association and the Santa Clara County Government Attorneys Association -- that are working to bring equal justice to Californians.

At the end of the day, it's all about safety. That's why I'm running for Santa Clara County District Attorney. I would be honored by your support.
