1. What should the legislature do to ensure that all Californians have access to health care?
|
Answer from Larry M. Caballero:
The legislature should pass legislation to ensure that all Californians have access to health care. The problem is not overspending, but undertaxing business and corporate interests that refuse to provide adequate health care for their workers. The number one priority should be health care for all.
2. Do you support Clean Money and Fair Elections Act (AB 583- Candidates who voluntarily agree to raise no private campaign funds and abide by spending limits can qualify for full public funding for their campaigns)? Please state the reasons for your position.
|
Answer from Larry M. Caballero:
I support the Clean Money and Fair Elections Act because special interests have taken over the political process in Sacramento and Washington, DC. Effective campaign finance reform is needed now more than ever to ensure that candidates are not bought by large companies and businesses to promote their agends instead of the agenda of middle class and the working class Americans.
