- Gary is leading the way towards the creation of a Youth Advisory Council that will involve teenagers in city government and the decision-making process

- Gary successfully worked to get city funding for Culver City High School's Peace Concert

- Gary voted in favor of the school district getting complete use of the former County Assessors Building and city support for the Adult Literacy Program's "Cities that Read" initiative

- Gary has worked to expand our recreation programs and to pay comparable wages in order to attract and retain the best staffers to work with our kids

- Gary has worked to keep out kids safe by continuing to fund after-school programs, crossing guards, and remodeling the teen center

- Gary made the motion to celebrate National Youth Service Day in Culver City including our kids in meaningful community service projects
