The key to success in public life is to put people first. I am guided by my practical experience in running my own small business. I have learned how to best serve my customers by putting people first.

As your City Council Member, I will treat my employers (the Culver City residents) with respect by keeping an open mind and by listening very attentively to all of their concerns. I WILL PUT PEOPLE FIRST.

As I ask for your support and your vote at the polls on April 11th, I want to tell you about myself. As a homeowner, small business owner and an independent voice, I am MEHAUL O'LEARY - "THE INDEPENDENT CHOICE" for CITY COUNCIL.

Thanks to support from Culver City residents and the business community, my small business has become a thriving success. Now, it is time for me to give back to my community, Culver City. My wife Susan O'Leary, a Registered Nurse, fully supports my candidacy for City Council. When I serve on your City Council, Susan will be my equal partner in PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST.

  • FAMILY OF PUBLIC SERVANTS

I come from a family of PUBLIC SERVANTS. My mother has always been active in local CHARITABLE organizations and the ENVIRONMENTAL MOVEMENT. My father is a retired POLICE COMMISSIONER in my native Ireland.

My grandfather was most active in an historical example of GRASSROOTS POLITICS, was part of the 1922 founding of the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND, served 23 months in prison for exertising his FREE SPEECH RIGHTS, and when on to serve with distinction as DIRECTOR of ELECTIONS for County Tipperary.

I as taught at an early age that the TIME WILL COME when I called to GIVE BACK TO MY COMMUNITY.

After living in the Fox Hills and "Little Culver" neighborhoods, my wife Susan and I bought our dream home in Rancho Higuera. We absolutely love Culver City's communiity spirit. Culver City is "the place" to raise and educate our family.
