Candidate for
Member of the City Council; City of Malibu

I graduated from Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, Arizona in 1966 and attended Glendale College on a track scholarship. In my second year we won the National Cross Country Championship. After I graduated I went on to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona on another track scholarship. Later, I transferred to Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona where I met someone who asked me to get involved with an expanding restaurant chain called Straw Hat Pizza. We took an existing chain of 60 restaurants and built another 176 units across the southern United States. The chain was then sold to the Marriott Corporation and I took some time out to cruise on my 45 foot sailboat "Fantasy" for an extended period of time. My love of boats got me involved in yacht sales about 14 years ago and now I own my own brokerage called Malibu Yacht Sales. My wife Laura & I met in the year 2000 and were married November 9, 2002. We then moved from our Beverly Hills home to our new house in Malibu.
