Candidate for
Board Member; San Mateo-Foster City School District

Cathy spent her early school years in Mexico, Arizona and Texas. She moved to California as a seventh grader, attended Bayside Middle School, and graduated from San Mateo High School in 1980. Cathy has been a resident of San Mateo and Foster City for over twenty years. For the last 14 years, she has lived in Foster City with her husband David and now with their two-year-old daughter Lydia.

The education Cathy received from our local public schools allowed her to pursue technology-based careers as a chemical engineer and then as a patent attorney. Since leaving the private sector, Cathy has worked as a professional mediator, and at the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County where she specialized in issues relating to seniors and to government benefits.
