Candidate for
Member; Montara Water and Sanitary District

I have been a member of the board since 1993. I have always been diligent in watching the bottom line while we address both short and long term community needs. I review all available information before making decisions effecting services, rates and expenditures.

During this time, we successfully expanded the sewer plant capacity and have completed major sewer infrastructure improved projects to improve services and protect the environment. After acquiring the assets of the private water company, we immediately instituted long over due maintenance and improvement projects, completed a master capital improvement plan and have successfully drilled wells that will put a significant dent into our district water deficiencies.

I firmly believe that the board is a steward of the public's assets and must keep that in mind in every action and decision. It has the responsibility to provide high level services fairly and economically to the benefit of the whole community. I have taken that responsibility very seriously in my past actions and will continue to do that in the future.

I am a member, and represent our district, on the San Francisco Regional board of the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA).
