Finding Solutions for Traffic and Safety Issues on Hwy 1By Jim GradyCandidate for Council Member; City of Half Moon Bay | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I will work with both Caltrans and the County's Transportation Authority to secure funding for the creation of a city-wide pedestrian and bicycle trail parallel to Hwy 1.As a member of the Council for the past four years, I have developed productive relationships with the state and county agencies that fund regional transportation improvements. I supported the successful reauthorization of Measure A and secured designation of a pedestrian and bicycle trail parallel to Hwy 1 as one of the countywide projects to be evaluated for construction using Measure A funds. I am one of two Council members who secured funding for the Hwy 92 and Main Street widening project. I will work to provide safer roads for pedestrians and motorists, making improvements to intersections and adding signals where necessary. |
