Full Biography for Elianne Frenkel-Popell

I grew up in Woodside and was a student (K-8) at Woodside Elementary School, so I understand how special our school and community are. At Woodside High I served as student representative on the Site Council and the Sequoia District's Human Relations Committee. I have always focused my energy on children and education. In college I volunteered at an elementary school and coached youth soccer. (I continued coaching, and this fall I am serving as AYSO registrar.) I was also a volunteer in the Boston Museum of Science children's section. After graduating with honors from Harvard, I ran the Passion for Learning Foundation -- helping parents create a love for learning in their children. Later I was marketing director for a venture capital firm focused on the education industry. I was also a consultant/writer for Educational Publishing Group when they developed their web site for parents. My children are in Woodside Elementary School. I am an active volunteer, currently serving on the PTA Executive Board in charge of all room parents. All the candidates would be fine board members. I believe with my background I can make a unique contribution. I would be honored to have your vote. |
