Council Member; City of Burlingame; 2 Year Term

I believe that if you are going to cast a vote for someone who is to represent you in city matters you deserve to know as much as you can about that candidate.

I have been a resident of Burlingame for more than 12 years and a homeowner for more than 10 of those years. I have been married to my wife, Constance since the winter of 1994.

I am 46 years old and have been creating award winning advertising campaigns for clients like Apple Computer, Hewlett-Packard, Visa, Nestle, Blue Cross and others for more than 17 years.

I have held the following titles: Vice President, Foote, Cone and Belding Inc., Associate Creative Director, Resource Marketing Inc. and Senior Art Director for BBDO/West Advertising Inc.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from California State University at Fullerton. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. And I am a recent graduate of the San Mateo/Foster City/Hillsborough/Burlingame Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.

My commitment to community involvement is clear. Currently, I am: Member and Past Chair of Burlingame's Traffic, Safety and Parking Commission. President of The Burlingame Historical Society. Vice President and Member of the board of directors of the Burlingame Lions Club. Advisory board member of The Citizens For A Better Burlingame. Vice President of BULB, Burlingamers Unwilling To Live With Blackouts. Member of the editorial board of The Burlingame Voice.

In addition I have participated in Burlingames's Housing Element Workshop and The Bayfront Development Workshop and I was an attendee at every session of The Teen Center Advisory Committee. Recently I was a member of the city's website exploration committee. I have been working with the Downtown Burlingame Improvement District advisory board to help them establish and implement a comprehensive marketing plan.

As a councilmember, I will respect the past and embrace the future.
