Candidate for
Governing Board Member; ALTA LOMA Elementary School District

It is important to me that we support and maintain the strong educational foundation that has won our district's schools both state and national recognition for their excellence in education. It has been my privilege to serve as a member of our Alta Loma School District board. I have been an active participant in the hiring of a visionary new superintendent, implementing an individualized student reading, language arts and math program, and overseeing improvements and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.

In my three years on the board, I have gained detailed knowledge into the operations of the district. I frequently visit our 10 school sites observing classroom instruction and the learning environment. I attend educational opportunities to learn more about school district operations and funding. I often speak one-on-one with parents, administrators, teachers, and other district employees. With this background of experience and knowledge, I am a strong and involved trustee for our community.

I am committed to fiscal responsibility, preservation of quality programs in these difficult financial times for schools, maintaining high academic standards, safe and secure schools and open communication with the community. Our children deserve a well-rounded, quality education that can allow them to excel and be successful in life.
