Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Alice Silverman

Candidate for
Board Member; Banning Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate

I am pleased with the school district's current direction. Our recent accomplishments include increasing API scores-our current average is over 700 points (goal of 800 points), reconfiguring the elementary schools to k-4 and the middle schools to a 5/6 school and a 7/8 school, building the Cabazon elementary school and the Banning high school gymnasium and beginning construction on the Hoffer and Hemmerling elementary schools multipurpose rooms.

I am committed to continuing this steady progress!!! I promise to make sure all community members are listened to and treated with respect. I will continue to strive for every students success. I want to see all sub groups make their API goals so more schools make the AYP every year.
