Small business is the backbone of the American EconomySmall business is the backbone of the American Economy. Without a successful economic base in small business, the American way of life is threatened. The ability of the business sector to operate without onerous government involvement is paramount. Freedom comes from the ability to be self-sufficient. The role of Government in business should the facilitation of entrepreneurial efforts and success. The tax structure should reflect this philosophy. I did learn one large lesson in school regarding taxes. When you tax something you get less of it. Tax income, you get less. Tax production, you get less of it. Lowering taxes encourages economic growth and in the long run will increase the total amount of tax dollars available to the government for the benefit of all taxpayers. |
