Empowerment for AllI believe that success is possible for all because all people can learn and that learning should be lifelong; that the culture of an organization is an important and powerful variable that should be nurtured and celebrated in order for our schools to be healthy and productive places to live and learn; that the empowerment of all will foster opportunities for the growth of all - students, staff, parents and communities; that our sole purpose is to serve and that as a team we are one another's greatest strength. As a community, we can ensure the success of our children if we work together. I have worked in MPUSD for thirty-three years, as a substitute teacher, full-time teacher at the elementary and high school levels, academic counselor 7-12th grade, high school Dean of Students, Assistant Principal in charge of operation\curriculum\activities and athletics and high school Principal. As a 2004 retire, I believe my experience will enable me to intimately work with other board members and the staff to address the issues of the schools within our district. The empowerment of all...students, parents, teachers, classified staff, district staff, board members, and our communities will create an environment that will support the success of our children...our future. I am sincerely seeking your vote for MPUSD Trustee Area #2. |
