Governing Board Member; Wiseburn School District

Significant Accomplishments during my Current Wiseburn School Board term of office:

1. API test scores over 800 for ALL Wiseburn elementary schools
2. Anza Elementary and Dana Middle Schools are California Distinguished Schools
3. Tough fiscal decisions resulted in a balanced budget while preserving educational programs
4. Class size reduction - 20 students per class - maintained in grades Kindergarten through 3
5. First South Bay school district with 100% fully credentialed teaching staff
6. District wide technology plan implemented for all schools and district offices
7. Construction documents for the new Dana and Cabrillo schools are submitted to the State Architect for approval
8. Established mutual respect and cooperation between the board, teachers, staff and administrators
9. Enriched our studentsˇ¦ music education through a partnership with the Wiseburn Education Foundation (WEF)
10. Together with the WEF, inaugurated the annual Rock Around the Block fundraiser for Music and the Arts

I believe that I provide the leadership to meet the challenges of today with a vision toward the future. My vision includes:

2. State-of-the-art school facilities for our community
3. Expansion of elective classes and after-school programs
