A TEACHER FOR CHANGE Rowland Unified School District has many challenges facing the school board. These include declining enrollments, student attrition, ongoing and future renovation projects, and balancing the budget. Rowland Unified also has model schools that consistently graduate students who go on to attend prestigious universities, but we need more competitive academic programs for our students. I will represent you in urging the administration to tackle these challenges and highlight these successes. As a teacher, I am experienced with the every day functions of schools. I have been a middle and high school teacher for 7 years in Special Education, English, and History. Through a professional development company, I also work directly with public schools, helping them to achieve to higher standards. I commit to the community that I will enrich the Board's expertise with an educator's perspective that is grounded in experience and a commitment to our children's futures. I ask that you add me to the District's governance team so we can attract more individuals and families to partner with us in developing exemplary and high achieving schools. |
