Candidate for
Commissioner; Humboldt Bay Harbor Recreation and Conservation District; Division 3

My goal has been and continues to be to provide leadership for a balanced approach to issues involving Humboldt Bay. My record is clear. The Humboldt Bay Harbor Recreation and Conservation District has taken active leadership in not only harbor development but also recreation and conservation. During my tenure on the board, we have added a Conservation Specialist to the staff. We have also actively worked to prevent invasive species, support and enhance mariculture, protect eel grass, and provide upgraded recreation activities. All of this in the context of working to renew our industrial base with sustainable and appropriate employment opportunities that provide a living wage. If reelected I will continue to provide this balanced leadership. The goal is that everyone should benefit from the bounty of Humboldt Bay.
