During most of my adult life, I have been involved in public service where collaboration with the public is critical. My career in teaching hospitals focused on meeting local needs with public funding.
I have fifteen years of volunteer service on Humboldt community boards as diverse as Six Rivers Planned Parenthood, the Humboldt County Library Foundation, the Humboldt Senior Resource Center, the Redwood Community Action Agency, and the Community Health Alliance of Humboldt and Del Norte. This experience has given me a sense of community priorities and how best to bring unity to a Board.
