Expansion of business park

By Dorothy "Nesbitt" Nesbitt

Candidate for City Council Member; City of El Dorado Hills

This information is provided by the candidate
I believe that we can increase our economic stability by devoting time and energy into the continued development of the business park.
Currently, the business park is approximately one-third complete. It is imperative that we concentrate on assisting in its completion.

My experience in community and economic development has given me a wealth of organizational and management skills that will be of great use in creating an incentive package for businesses. There are many tools that can be considered such as initial tax exemptions, partial waiver of fees, partnerships in building and road development, rebates for employing local people, a bonus for hiring low income individuals, etc.

Our position on Hwy 50 is a plus, allowing us to search for small and medium sized businesses that are suitable for our location while needing access to Sacramento and the Bay Area. These improvements would bring new dollars to our community.

I am committed to maintaining our economic stability by searching for funding opportunities and building partnerships with other entities that already provide service to our area.
