What I plan to do if elected to the Board.

By Stephanie Neidig

Candidate for Director; Fallen Leaf Lake Community Services District

My biggest goal, and challenge, will be to rekindle a sense of community and communication. I have been looking over the CSD minutes (as well as the letters many of you have submitted) from previous years and there seem to be some unsatisfied needs. I want to encourage a public forum in which there is higher community attendance at meetings and people actually know what's going on. One of the more basic and tangible ideas I have is to create a website to post minutes and solicit comments and questions from everyone. To encourage a greater sense of community, I'd start first with the Old Store. This building is restored but not used to its potential. I will play a more active role booking this community facility with events open to everyone such as art shows, dances, and other activities proposed by you.
