Over the past 18 years I have demonstrated my Leadership and Experience by serving the El Dorado Hills Community as a Community Services District Board Director (5 years) and an El Dorado Hills Fire Department Board Director (13 years). As an EDH Community Services District/Fire Department Board Director I have worked collaboratively as a team member with staff, the community and other governmental agencies to enhance the Quality-of-Life of the Community of El Dorado Hills.
- 23 years experience working for public agencies as a safety/risk manager, police officer for cities, special districts and school districts. 7 years City Law Enforcement experience;16 years experience managing Safety/Risk Management, Occupational Health, and Environmental compliance.
- Masters in Public Administration emphasis Management/Administrative Organization-Golden Gate University-San Francisco
- Bachelor of Science in Criminology emphasis-Law Enforcement-California State University-Fresno
- 13 years as an elected Board Director EDH Fire Department during this period served as Board President, Vice-President; Administration, Fire and numerous other ad hoc committees. Brought 24 hour Paramedic/Ambulance service to EDH; expanded new fire stations, staffing and fire equipment to improve the Community's Fire and Paramedic/Ambulance Services.
- 8 years as a charter member of the EDH Incorporation Committee, served 1.5 years as chair person, assisted in conducting three EDH Comprehensive Fiscal Analysis studies, negotiated first revenue neutrality agreement with county.
- Presently serving second 4 year term as an elected Board Director EDH Community Services District, during the past 5 years I have served as Board President, Vice-President; Administration & Finance, Parks & Planning, Electric Utility Services and CC&R/DRC Committees.
I have been instrumental in accomplishing the following:

- Established & maintained a balanced CSD budget with adequate reserves for the future. Refinanced CSD Bonds for a savings of $150,000. Positive Financial Audit 5 years in a row.
- Developing a new 5 year Recreation & Facility Master Plan to plan for the current and future parks and recreation needs of the Community.
- Improved the CC&R/DRC review/enforcement services so they are administered in a consistent and positive manner; implemented process to continually improve the services.
- Chairing the CSD Electric Utility Services committee in order to bring reliable and inexpensive electric power to meet the Community's current and future needs. 10 years management experience at a local Public Electric Utility Company.
- Promoted the Waste Recycling Program. Reduced the Community's waste impact on local landfills by 55%.
- Renewed and enhanced the Cable TV Franchise.
- Park Projects Successfully Completed:
Kalithea Park, Community Park Playground, Allan Lindsey Park, Park View Heights Park playground, Murray Homestead Park, Bertelsen Park Renovation (Phase 1), Fairchild Park, Creekside Greens Park, and the new temporary Administration Building.
