My wife Connie and I are 37 year residents of Newark. We have one daughter, Maryann, and two grandchildren. I am a Project Manager and 34 year employee of SRI International in Menlo Park. I am a past President of the Newark Jaycees and have been awarded the Jaycee's highest honor, a JCI Senatorship.

I have been involved in community service in Newark for 36 years and received a Distinguished Service Award for outstanding service to my community. I have served on the Newark City Council for 25 years. I truly believe that service to humanity is the best work of life! In addition to my Council obligations, I am the current treasurer for the Newark Library League and served as the Internet Community Partner when the internet was introduced to the Newark Library. I also serve as an Institutional Representative for a Newark Scout group.

I possess the dedication, objectivity and the problem-solving skills that make me uniquely qualified to represent you on the Newark City Council. With your vote on November 8, I can continue Working for a Better Newark!
