The citizens of 48th Congressional District want a Congressional Representative who is fiscally responsible and who reflects our right to act with our own moral and social values and who knows the importance of our beaches and ocean.

My experience as a business owner, as a member of the California Assembly, and as a wife and mother, makes me the best choice to represent you in Congress.

I served in the State Assembly for six years until term limits caused my retirement. During my time in the Assembly I earned a reputation for being honest, tough and someone who delivered results. I will bring these same qualities to Washington, D.C. and continue the great job that Congressman Chris Cox performed before being named to Chair the Securities & Exchange Commission.

My political views are straightforward:

• I am with Ronald Reagan on tax reductions, government spending and reducing government's interference in our lives.
• I stand with Nancy Reagan in support of stem cell research for medical purposes.
• I agree with Betty Ford on protecting a woman's right to choose and opposing government deciding how families deal with important issues.
• I want our borders safe and secure.
• I stand with my entire family of life long surfers in protecting our Ocean.
