Political Philosophy for Steve Hedrick
Candidate for |
Steve Hedrick has the experience and executive skills that make him ideal for the Glendale City Council. His ability to think strategically along with his financial savvy are qualities needed on our City Council. Steve is a fiscal conservative but also has a keen grasp of the social needs of our community. "City Hall has to stop giving away money with both hands to special interests and then cry that there is no budget for desperately needed city improvements and social programs. We need to stand up for what is right, use some horse sense, and sponsor services and programs that will benefit all of Glendale. We need to do more for Seniors. They are a viable and valuable resource in our city. We need more After School Programs that help our youth stay on track and out of trouble. We need more public parks and our libraries are useless if they are not kept open for us to use. These improvements in our quality of life, if correctly implemented, will actually reduce the financial impact on the general fund because it will lessen the burden on city services. Instead of raising taxes, we should be getting leaner and work smarter. It can be done. I believe I have the skills and the determination to do it." - Steve Hedrick |
