Quality of life in Manhattan Beach is second to no other city. However, things can be even better.

I believe the City Council must be open to hearing criticism and listening to residents' concerns. Simply put, local government is responsible to the people; elected officials must never ignore those whom the Council purports to represent.

Despite the good things in Manhattan Beach, the City Council will benefit from a fresh, diverse voice.

I will always make my best effort to be open-minded, direct, and forthright.
