About Michael:
Until the age of nine, I did wander the Royal Botanic Gardens of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Then my family headed west to Pomona Valley California where I have lived for the last 40 years. By far most of that time I have spent happily living and working as a professional window cleaner in Claremont. I have also volunteered in many community, metropolitan and regional activities over this period. These include from founding member of the Sanctuary Movement Committee for Political Asylum, to helping Inland Pacific Ballet get off the ground. From getting Pomona Valley shelter kids to the Nutcracker with college student help; to evaluating alternate Angeles National Forest Master Plans. From participating in San Gabriel Watershed Environment Roundtable meetings; to helping at the permaculture oriented Pomona College "Farm" for two years. From attending all meetings faithfully on saving the Bernard Biological Field Station; to advocating for Consent Decrees and Federal prosecution of the Los Angeles Police Department (which is still in effect); and last but not least, I am actively at work on Claremont's General Plan revision. These are just a few examples. Like Albert Einstein said, "There is no such thing as absolute rest." I am a believer and since 1984 a proud citizen of the United States.
