OUR SCHOOLS CAN BE BETTER - OUR STUDENTS DESERVE BETTER

Candidate for Board Member; Redondo Beach Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Our schools' need long term vision and accountability to students and parents.
These are essentials for the school board and improving our school system:

-make sure the school board is unbiased and independent, not controlled by any special interest groups

- obtain funding from corporations, private citizens and foundations, grants, sponsorships, business rebates

- establish discretionary funds specifically for individual programs, such as elementary music, and other arts programs, intermural sports, physical plant improvements

- bring the PTA, the educational foundation, and MOST IMPORTANTLY parents and students into the decision making process

- improve the level of our language arts program

- clean up Redondo Union High School - less of a police state mentality which has done zero to remove organized illegal substance sales on campus; focus on STUDENT needs

Our students and their parents require accountability -

- the school board must be responsive to the needs of students and their parents first and foremost

- I am a writer/educator, and a parent and PTA president with two students enrolled in RBUSD.

- I am running for school board to improve our chjildren's schools
