OXNARD COLLEGE ADMINISTRATIVE ROLE

Director, Oxnard College Job & Career Center, County of Ventura. Direct the activities of the Workforce Investment Board One-Stop located on 17,000 square feet on the Oxnard College campus. The Center provides career and employment services to students, job seekers, CalWORKS recipients and employers. In addition, the director coordinates activities with the Oxnard College Economic Development programs located at the Center. These units include small business development through the Center of International Trade and Development (CITD), Entrepreneur Academy, the Senior Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU). Responsibilities include staff of fifty Career Services Specialists and support professionals from the County of Ventura Mental Health, Probation, Public Health, District Attorney, and Children Protective Services. June 1998-present.

Coordinator of Entrepreneur Academy, Oxnard College small employer business start-up courses. Course held in Ventura, Oxnard, and Simi Valley. Sponsored by the Center to International Trade and the Workplace Learning grant to Oxnard College. January - June 2000.

Member, Oxnard College Foundation: This group spearheads fund raising and acts as a clearinghouse for endowments and scholarships. June 1998-present.

Member, President's Leadership Team: Oxnard College Management and Directors team that meets with the President biweekly. June 1998-present.
