I am no longer seeking the office of Mayor. My name will remain on the ballot you decide.

My name will remain on the ballot and could still be elected to office. If this occurs, I will proudly serve. I would encourage the undecided voter to vote for Mr. Jerry Leaderman.

I am no longer seeking the office of Mayor unless your willing to stand and fight the good fight with me, not for me, but with me for the benefit of the community.

My REASON: Less than one week from the date of the election, I was contacted by a local paper that received inquiry into the validity of my educational back ground. This news paper reporter received and annonomous E-mail.

I have completed all required course work, as wll as, dedicated myself to the extreme disicpline of my studies to prepare me during my education and ultimate goal of the award of my diplomas. I am very proud of my accomplishments and now, quit angry with this late accusations, and thus will no longer subject myself nor my family to the continued onslot of the mud slinging, slanderous and dafamation of character attacks continuosly lob at me from my opponet and his gang. All while under the veil of "Public Person" having no recourse to seek legal action and hold these people accoutable for thier statements.

The reason I have taken these measures are based on the following.

I do not require the position of Mayor for prestige. I have never acceptted the customary Council or Mayor salary. I have never abused the use of City funds. I have never failed to communicate with any member of this community when requested to do so. I had never required the City to pay for any City related business or conferences on my behalf. I never submitted for reimbursement any meals, or other city related activities.

I respectfully request, that our Ministerial Association, pray for this hate filled group. If they regain control of this City again, God Save this City.
