Dr. Gaspar Garcia is characterized by his integrity, honesty, courage, and competence. Hard work is his main love.Dr. Gaspar Garcia is characterized by his honesty, integrity, courage and competence and his desire to work for all the people in the 9th Assembly District. A vote for Gaspar Garcia is a vote for better opportunities and more responsive government. As a Native American with deep roots in the Hispanic culture, I strongly believe the time has come for all Californians of all groups to set aside our differences and start working together. I stand for education reforms, job creation, and broader health coverage. I will demand openness in government, a balanced budget, and an end to partisan bickering that has crippled our legislative process. I hold an earned doctorate from the University of Southern California in Educational Administration and Curriculum and Instruction. As an educator for over 30 years, I have witnessed education in every county in California, and know firsthand the need to improve educational opportunities for all our children. We must eliminate the gross unfairness in our educational funding process. We must fund the classrooms first, our school sites second, and the bureaucracy last. We must do a better job educating our children so there will be less need for incarcerating adults. I will fight to attract new jobs to our district work to preserve the ones we have now. We must create incentives to attract high paying jobs and emerging growth industries to our state. I am determined to improve our health care system so all our citizens can obtain coverage. We need cleaner water, safer neighborhoods, better air quality and transportation for every community. Vote for Gaspar Garcia and put public interest ahead of partisan politics.
