Mike Dugas is the Republican candidate for the California's 5 th Congressional District.

Born in 1977 in Miami, Florida, Mike grew up in South Florida during his childhood years. He attended college at the University of Florida, earning his Masters Degree in Statistics there in May of 2000. Dugas has had the privilege of attending the University of California at Davis to pursue his doctorate in statistics. Currently, he is completing his Ph.D. and he is consulting businesses on statistical problems part-time.

Dugas' involvement in politics began 2001- immediately after arriving in California. He quickly rose to become the current co-chairman of the California College Republicans. Formulating his political vision over the past decade, Dugas is now planning on bringing his fresh ideas to Washington DC.
