End Eminent Domain AbuseBy Peter D. "Pedro" De BaetsCandidate for Member of the State Assembly; District 47 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Defend the Civil Rights of property owners in California. The Civil Rights of property owners are being violated in city "redevelopment" zones, and hardworking people and seniors on fixed incomes are losing their homes and their businesses due to government eminent domain abuses. To help resolve this, I will propose the repeal of laws that allow condemnation of private property for private use. I will allow no special assistance to developers. I will propose the repeal of the "Inspection Warrant" law. I will work to limit the legal definition of "Blight", "Redevelopment", and "Urban Renewal". I will protect basic Civil Rights of property owners in California. For this solution, no additional taxpayer funding would be required. We would simply need to repeal laws and regulations that impede Civil Rights protection and fair competition. |
