General overview of political philosophyFor those of you not familiar with what a libertarian is, let me explain. Republicans tend to favor more economic liberties, but want to limit your personal freedoms. Democrats allow more personal freedoms, but at the expense of your economic rights. Each of those platforms is contradictory. Libertarians, such as myself, believe that you should be free both economically and in your personal life. I am the only candidate here with a coherent political philosophy. Each issue can be reduced to one main question: Who knows best how to run your life - the government or you? I believe that you know best how to run your life. We are all forced pay exorbitant amounts of taxes, which mostly go to pay for unconstitutional pet projects of politicians who effectively are bribed by special interest groups to vote for more unconstitutional, government-increasing programs. The average person loses 47% of their income to various payroll, sales and other government taxes. My concerns center on reducing the size of the bloated government in Sacramento, and on eliminating wasteful government spending. I cater to no special interests, and the proof is that you know my political philosophy - I believe you now how to best run your own life, and will always vote to reduce the size and imposition of government and while voting to ensure the rights of you, as an individual. I have signed the taxpayer pledge to oppose any effort to increase taxes. I want to return your freedoms and protect your rights, and stop the government from taking so much of your hard earned money, by reducing taxes for everyone. I want to return honesty and integrity to Sacramento, and I will do so by fighting for you, not for special interests. I am the only candidate that wants to significantly reduce the size of government. If you are happy with the way Sacramento has been acting, you should not vote for me. But if you want a change, if you truly believe in smaller government, and if you agree the current government is too big and wasteful, please vote for Ethan, your Libertarian candidate for State Assembly. You have several choices for State Assembly, however, I am the only candidate who will consistently fight for all your personal and economic rights. I believe it is your life and you know best how to run it, and the government does not have the right to tell you how to live it. If you are happy with the way Sacramento has been acting, please do not vote for me. But if you want a change, if you truly believe in smaller government, and personal rights, please vote for me. For smaller government, more freedom, and no special interests, you owe it to yourself to vote for Ethan Boivie, your Libertarian Candidate for State Assembly. |
